網(wǎng)箱是指用重型六角網(wǎng)作的箱型網(wǎng)籠，因此有稱之為"石籠網(wǎng)或者石籠網(wǎng)網(wǎng)箱"，歐洲也叫格賓網(wǎng)，石籠網(wǎng)箱。石籠網(wǎng)箱在施工現(xiàn)場(chǎng)經(jīng)石頭填充，構(gòu)成具有柔性、透水性及整體性的結(jié)構(gòu)， 如擋墻、河道襯砌、堰等支擋的防沖蝕工程。
