ASTM E 84建筑材料的表面燃燒性能測試方法簡介：ASTM E 84用于測定建材(包括固體塑料)的火焰?zhèn)鞑ニ俾?同時測定生煙性)。ASTM E 84方法適用于暴露的表面，如墻壁和天花板等。按ASTM E 84的規(guī)定，隧道法所用設(shè)備為一長7.62m、開口端橫截面積為0.45m×0.30m的內(nèi)襯耐火磚的鋼槽，槽側(cè)有窗口。

Materials scope:This fire-test-response standard for the comparative surface burning behavior of building materials is applicable to exposed surfaces such as walls and ceilings. The test is conducted with the specimen in the ceiling position with the surface to be evaluated exposed face down to the ignition source.
